DBFZ-Conference - A successful kick-off conference!
The German Biomass Research Centre (DBFZ) in cooperation with the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) organized the international conference "Biomass in Future Landscapes" on 31st March - 1st April 2009 in Berlin.
Aim of the international conference was to discuss sustainable biomass utilization regarding strategies and requirements of spatial planning. Main focus was to debate the situation, practices and prospects in foreign countries to point out innovative solutions.
More than 400 internationally political decision makers and environmental and agricultural experts as well as experts for spatial planning contributed to the conference.
The conference was organized within a project of the Federal Ministry of Transport, Buildings and Urban Affairs (BMVBS).
Wolfgang Tiefensee - German Federal Minister of Transport, Buildings and Urban Affairs (BMVBS) - opened the conference in Berlin.
